Has won four Tony Awards: in 1967, as Best Composer and Lyricist, with collaborator 'Fred Ebb', and for music as part of Best Musical win for "Cabaret;" in 1981, as Best Score, his music with Ebb's lyrics, for "Woman of the Year;" and in 1993, as Best Score (Musical), his music with Ebb's lyrics, for "Kiss of the Spider Woman - The Musical," in a tie with 'Pete Townsend (I)' for "The Who's Tommy." He has also been nominated seven other times, always in collaboration with Ebb: in 1968, as Best Composer and Lyricist and his music as part of a Best Musical nomination for "The Happy Time;" in 1969, his music as part of a Best Musical nomination for "Zorba;" in 1976, as Best Score for "Chicago;" in 1978, as Best Score for "The Act;" in 1984, as Best Score for "The Rink;" and in 1997, as Best Original Musical Score, for "Steel Pier."
Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983.
Terrence McNally, Fred Ebb, and he were awarded the 2002 Joseph Jefferson Award for New Adaptation for "The Visit" at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

The only actor, other than 'Roddy McDowall' to appear in four of the five films in the "Planet of the Ape" series. In fact she appears as the mutant Albina in Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), as Doctor Stephanie "Stevie" Branton in Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) and as Lisa, Ceasar's wife, in the final two ape pictures making her the only person to have appeared as both a human and an ape.
Devoted many of her later years volunteering at 'Mother Teresa''s hospice in Calcutta, India, traveling as often as twice a year and bringing medicine and supplies with her in order to care for the ill and needy.
In the early 1960s, Natalie was named "Debutante of the Year", and the New York Post sent noted society reporter 'Doris Lilly' to accompany her for five consecutive days to describe Natalie's life and activities.
Is the widow of Marilyn Monroe's press agent Arthur Jacobs.

Natalie Trundy Mini Biography

Fair, freckled and quite lovely, actress Natalie Trundy had quite a promising career approaching adulthood in the late 1950s until a serious car accident put a serious halt to things. As Natalie Campana, she was the elder of two daughters born to Bostonian parents. A child model, she took dance classes and started flirting with an acting career even before she graduated from elementary school. The little strawberry blonde made her TV debut as a singing and dancing Little Red Riding Hood in a 'Fred Waring (I)' live broadcast. The talented youngster quickly moved into radio and commercial work and made her Broadway debut at age 13 playing 'Janet Blair (I)''s daughter in "Kiss and Tell". By this time, she was attending New York's Professional Children's School. She subsequently appeared alongside multiple Tony winner 'Shirley Booth' in the turn-of-the-century Broadway musical "By the Beautiful Sea" (1953) after replacing the originally cast ingénue. She followed this with the short-lived play "Girls of Summer" (1956), which starred 'Shelley Winters'. At age 15, Natalie made her debut in the Italian film Montecarlo (1956) featuring such foreign luminaries as 'Marlene Dietrich' and 'Vittorio De Sica' in the cast. Agent-turned-producer 'Arthur P. Jacobs', who represented Ms. Dietrich at the time and was nearly 18 years older met young Natalie during this filming. Producer 'Kirk Douglas (I)' cast her in what would be her second film The Careless Years (1957), a typical troubled teen love story co-starring 'Dean Stockwell'. Natalie put her career on hold in order to attend New York's Briarcliff College and was planning to return full time to acting following her education. In 1963, however, she was struck by a car and suffered a serious back injury that ended all hopes for a comeback. By chance, she was reintroduced to producer Jacobs a few years later and they married in London in 1968. Jacobs was producing the "Planet of the Apes" film series at the time and had just finished the original movie starring 'Charlton Heston'. Natalie finally made her return in film, appearing in all of the sequels beginning with her role as Albina, the mutant in Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970). For Jacobs, she also played the role of Mrs. Loftus in the musical adaptation of Huckleberry Finn (1974). Her husband's sudden death of a heart attack at age 51 while she was on a Mississippi location signaled the end of her comeback. Natalie went on to assume production duties of his film company, APJAC productions. A brief second marriage produced a son and daughter.

The song "Don't laugh at me ('cause I'm a fool)" was written by 'Norman Wisdom' for the film Trouble in Store (1953) and became his theme song. He still uses it to close his one man show.
His 1950s and 60s movies, where his working-class characters typically eventually overcame the opressive management, were the only Western movies allowed into Albania by the Communist dictatorship of Enver Hoxha, who viewed them as a parable for the workers' struggle against capitalism. The Albanian people, however, loved his physical comedy and he became the best-known and loved Western artist in the country. Since the fall of Communism, Wisdom has been involved in much work supporting Albanian children's charities.

'Norman Wisdom' has become the great British clown very much in the mould of 'Charles Chaplin' with his "little man" in the ill fitting suit and cloth cap. His character is "everyman", much put upon but struggling through to a (usually) happy ending. He was brought up in an orphanage after his mother died and his father disowned him. He joined the army where he discovered that his performing ability was appreciated. He has worked variously on stage and screen since 1952. Jerry Fielding Mini Biography

A three time Oscar nominee, Jerry Fielding was among the boldest and most experimental of all Hollywood film composers. His music typically utilized advanced compositional procedures, producing dense, often richly dissonant orchestral textures, sometimes flavoured with jazz. Fielding's film music career was marked by enduring and rewarding collaborations with 'Sam Peckinpah', 'Michael Winner (I)' and 'Clint Eastwood'. Born Joshua Feldman in Pittsburgh in 1922 to migrant Russian parents, Jerry Fielding was brought up in a music loving but non-musical household. As a home-bound, somewhat sickly teenager, Fielding derived early inspiration from the radio productions of 'Orson Welles' with their groundbreaking 'Bernard Herrmann' scores. He was also fascinated by the increasingly advanced orchestrations being done for the swing bands of the time, with their heavy reliance on aspects of classical music. The young Fielding joined the studio of Max Atkins, the noted director of theatrical music who also included 'Henry Mancini' among his students. After picking up vital arranging skills, Fielding toured with some of the leading dance bands of the 1940s. This led to Hollywood where his radio and television assignments included conducting and arranging for many of the most popular variety shows of the time, including those of 'Groucho Marx'. At this time, the shadow of McCarthyism was looming over America and Fielding, a self-confessed "loud mouthed crusader", found himself among its many victims. His hiring of black musicians for his television orchestra (unheard of in those days) brought criticism and threats. His leftist affiliations brought him to the attention of the FBI and HUAC. Despite his strong liberal beliefs, Fielding claimed that McCarthy's men were probably more interested in getting him to name Groucho Marx as a 'fellow traveller'. He took the Fifth Amendment and promptly found his Hollywood career in ruins. Fielding eventually found employment in the safe haven of Las Vegas where he became musical director for the stage shows of 'Abbott And Costello', 'Debbie Reynolds (I)', 'Eddie Fisher (I)' and others. He also began recording the first of many pop and swing standards for record LPs such as 'Fielding's Formula', 'Sweet With A Beat' and 'Hollywood Brass'. The approach of the sixties saw the end of McCarthyism and Fielding's return to Hollywood. In 1962, at the suggestion of his writer friend 'Dalton Trumbo', Fielding was hired by 'Otto Preminger' for the film Advise and Consent (1962), a tale of political intrigue amid the halls of Washington DC. It was a remarkable debut score which combined light orchestral lyricism with hints of the richer, almost ethereal textures of his later work. It was also drenched in Fielding's own brand of dark irony - a trademark of the composer. Around this time, Fielding, hungry to expand his compositional technique, enrolled as a student of the venerated composer and teacher Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, who, incidentally, had given similar instruction to 'Jerry Goldsmith' and 'John Williams (I)'. More television work followed including scores to "Mission: Impossible" (1966) and "Star Trek" (1966). In 1967, Fielding scored Noon Wine (1966) (TV), a contemporary western for television directed by 'Sam Peckinpah'. It was the first in a legendary though sometimes tumultuous partnership. In 1969 came The Wild Bunch (1969). This landmark western was Peckinpah's and Fielding's breakthrough movie. The composer caught the weariness, dust, dirt and blood of a vanishing West in a rich underscore which interspersed sprightly action cues with wistful Mexican folk melodies and nostalgic, bittersweet dirges. But, as always, the nostalgia was tempered with Fielding's characteristically steely irony. It earned him his first Oscar nomination. A second nomination came with Peckinpah's Straw Dogs (1971) in 1971. This controversial though somewhat garbled tale of the violence lurking within a meek man saw Fielding's music take a new direction. Inspired by Stravinsky's Histoire Du Soldat, and with a large orchestra supplying dense, yearning sound clusters, this remarkable work gives voice to both the characters' inner turmoil and the desolate Cornish landscapes of the film's setting. Fielding provided another sensitive, beautifully forlorn score for Peckinpah's proxy self-portrait, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia (1974). However, some Peckinpah collaborations were not so happy. Fielding's music for The Getaway (1972) was rejected in favour of a score by 'Quincy Jones'. Then in 1973, Fielding backed out of working with 'Bob Dylan' on the score for Pat Garret and Billy the Kid (1973). Fielding's association with 'Michael Winner (I)' began in 1970 with Lawman (1971) for which the composer supplied an epic score tinged with jazz - something of a first for a western! Then followed the searing, impressionistic music for Chato's Land (1971), The Mechanic (1972) and Scorpio (1973). A standout score was for Winner's gothic melodrama, The Nightcomers (1971). This gave Fielding a chance to indulge his love of 19th century baroque music. The composer considered it among his finest works. His final score for Michael Winner was the remake of The Big Sleep (1978). It was an admirable consummation of the composer's various techniques. 'Clint Eastwood' was well served by Fielding's scores to Enforcer, The (1976) and The Gauntlet (1977). The composer responded to their hard edged urban milieu with full-on jazz compositions which featured some of the best jazz players in the business. In 1976, Jerry Fielding received his third and final Oscar nomination for Eastwood's The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976). Jerry Fielding was a man who fought hard to get his brand of music into films. He was not a glad-hander. He was an uncompromising artist who perhaps sacrificed many choice assignments by spurning easy, producer-friendly routes. These stances may have taken their toll on him. From the mid-seventies onwards, the composer endured a series of heart attacks. In 1980, Fielding suffered a fatal heart seizure while in Canada scoring Below the Belt (1980). He was 58 years old. Jerry Fielding had an innately humane approach to film scoring. He eschewed traditional 'mickey-mousing' techniques (i.e. slavishly following every on-screen action). Rather, his music sought to mirror and illuminate the motivations and deepest inner lives of the characters. This it did with great compassion, beauty and sensitivity. Producer 'Gordon Dawson' touchingly described Fielding's music as being "... like a man in a green suit walking in a forest". And so it is.

He was exposed to dramatic arts while studying at the New York Music and Dramatic Academy. He furthered his studies with Sanford Meisner and eventually made his film debut in Where's Poppa? (1970). Sorvino suffered from severe asthma, and worked hard at mastering various breathing techniques to manage the illness. He wrote a best-selling book entitled "How to Become a Former Asthmatic". He also started the Sorvino Asthma Foundation based in New York City. Sorvino has appeared in a variety of film, TV and theatrical productions over the the last four decades. George S. Clinton began his professional musical career as a songwriter, arranger, and session musician in Nashville, while earning degrees in music and drama at Middle Tennessee State University. While making minimal comments about that movie itself, he does address the issue of his heritage. Wryly noting he had been assumed to be everything, including Russian, he specifically denied being of Puerto Rican heritage, which is the most commonly reported. He states that his mother was from Northern Spain and that his father was Italian. He was born in Brooklyn but left there when he was only five months old. His father left his mother when Silva was only three months old. Silva says that he was only eight years old when he decided to become an actor, although he didn't do anything about it until his teens. His inspiration was primarily his mother. Apparently she was a story-teller and, upon returning from shopping, would fill their apartment with vivid characterizations of the grocer, baker etc. Silva concludes by noting that he thinks of his mother every day.

Henry Silva was born on September 15, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York. He quit public school to attend drama classes at the age of 13, supporting himself as a dishwasher in a Manhattan hotel. By 1955 Silva had moved up from dishwasher to waiter, and felt ready to audition for the Actors Studio. He was one of five students chosen out of more than 2500 applicants. When the Studio staged 'Michael V. Gazzo''s play "A Hatful of Rain" as a classroom project, it proved so successful it came to Broadway--with students 'Ben Gazzara', 'Shelley Winters', 'Harry Guardino', 'Anthony Franciosa (I)' and, of course, Silva in key roles. Called to Hollywood, he played a succession of heavies in films, including The Bravados (1958), Green Mansions (1959), Ocean's Eleven (1960), The Manchurian Candidate (1962) and Johnny Cool (1963). An Italian producer made Henry an offer he couldn't refuse--to star as a hero for a change--and he moved his family overseas. Silva's turning-point picture was a spaghetti western, Un fiume di dollari (1966), which made him a hot box office commodity in Spain, Italy, Germany and France. His popularity was enhanced by a gift for languages. He speaks Italian and Spanish fluently and has a flair for the kind of gritty, realistic roles that also catapulted 'Charles Bronson' to European stardom. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Juan Pablo is the third son of artist Marta Maineri and Victorio Di Pace. He has lived in Spain, Italy and England. At 17 he was awarded a scholarship to the exclusive United World College of the Adriatic in Trieste and later studied theatre at the London Studio Centre. Before graduating he was cast in Walter Bobbie's London production of Chicago, becoming the youngest ever person to play the role of Billy Flynn. A series of appearances followed in films Alfie (Charles Shyer) and Piccadilly Jim (John McKay) before he landed in 2004 the leading role of Manuel on island thriller Three (Stewart Raffill) opposite Billy Zane. The following year Juan starred in music video Call On Me for Eric Prytz which became the biggest selling video of the year due to its shocking nature and became Scotland's runaway hero after playing Luca Rossi for one season on River City for the BBC. In 1990 David fled from the crazy city life of New Jersey/New York to the peace and tranquility of the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. He got his start in theater during his senior year of high school doing make-up for and singing in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado. While in college, Dave did make-up, special effects and poster design for The Wiz. Dave has since studied many mediums of art...painting, drawing, photography, sculpting, film animation, acting, etc...In 1994 Dave got into puppetry by joining The New England Marrionette Theatre. He helped build the theater from scratch and was a key sculptor, puppeteer and set designer for two years working on La Boheme, Madama Butterfly and Amahl and the night Visitors. Got his start by directing rap and hip-hop videos for his friend 'Russell Simmons'. When the original director of Money Talks (1997) had to be replaced, 'Russell Simmons' recommended him.

Composer Fred Myrow was born on July 16, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York. His grandfather was music publishing giant, producer and manager Irving Mills and his father was noted composer Josef Myrow (he wrote the popular hit song "You Make Me Feel So Young"). He moved to Hollywood, California at age six. Fred studied with Darius Milhaud in Aspen in 1956 and took courses in conducting and composition at the University of California, where his instructors included Ingolf Dahl, Muriel Kerr and Gwendolyn Koldolfsky. In 1959 Myrow wrote "Symphonic Variations" for the Young Musicians Foundation; this piece premiered at the Hollywood Bowl and was subsequently performed at the L.A. Philharmonic, B.B.C., and Concerts Colonne, Paris, where it was conducted by Lawrence Foster. Fred returned to America in 1964. He was the composer, pianist, and conductor for the Center for Creative and Performing Arts in Buffalo, New York. He appeared regularly with Evenings For New Music at Carnegie Hall under Lukas Foss. Myrow's composition "Songs From the Japanese" was performed at such places as Tanglewood, the Monday Evening Concerts in Los Angeles, and the B.B.C. London. It was then recorded by Nonesuch with soprano Phylis Bryn-Julson and conductor Arthur Weisberg. Fred wrote "Music for Orchestra I" for the Fromm Foundation, where it premiered at the Tanglewood Festival and was conducted by Gunther Schuller. This was followed by "Music for Orchestra II." In 1969 Myrow studied music from other cultures and worked as a composer for various media. He collaborated with Jim Morrison by writing the music for the movie "Highway." In addition, Myrow both arranged and conducted the album "Subway to the Country" for Elektra Records. Fred also wrote orchestrations for Brian Wilson and Van Dyke Parks and served as a mentor to such Los Angeles musicians as jazz pianist Brad Meldahl and producer Daniel Lanois. Myrow's first film score was for the John Boorman picture "Leo the Last." Fred composed an effectively offbeat and unconventional score for the grim futuristic science fiction feature "Soylent Green." Fred is probably best known for his superbly spooky, stirring and imaginative score for the outstanding low-budget independent horror cult favorite "Phantasm." He had previously collaborated with "Phantasm" writer/director Don Coscarelli on both "Jim the World's Greatest" and "Kenny & Company." Fred subsequently worked with Coscarelli on three "Phantasm" sequels and "Survival Quest." Myrow both composed the music and co-wrote song lyrics for the 1990 stage musical "Stevie Wants to Play the Blues;" it starred Paula Kelly and Amy Madigan and was directed by Simon Callow. "Beyond the Veil" was presented by L.A. Classic Theatreworks in December of 1990. He owned a recording music studio that was stocked with keyboard instruments, synthesizers, and computers. Fred Myrow died of a heart attack at age 59 on January 14, 1999.

Adrian Trivia

Never won an Academy Award, not even for his costumes for "The Wizard of Oz", yet he is considered by most as Hollywood's greatest costume designer.
Briefly portrayed in a movie at Disney's California Adventure called "Golden Dreams" about the history of California. He is introduced as the person who is designing the costumes for The Wizard of Oz.
His costumes for the Munchkins in The Wizard of Oz (1939) were made entirely of felt.
Adrian never tried to recreate actual historic period clothes, but used the silhouettes as a spring board to create his original designs.
Did not get the opportunity to win an Oscar because the first Academy Award for Costume Design wasn't handed out before 1948, at which time he had retired already from costume design for film (with only a few exceptions, concentrating on his personal life and his own business.

Adrian Mini Biography

Adrian Adolph Greenburg, born in Naugatuck, Connecticut, March 3, 1903, to Gilbert and Helena (Pollack) Greenburg. He began his professional career while still attending the New York School for Fine and Applied Arts by contributing to the costumes for "George White's Scandals" in 1921. He is credited for that production by his created name of Gilbert Adrian, a combination of his father's first name and his own. He transferred to NYSFAA's Paris campus in 1922 and while there was hired by 'Irving Berlin (I)'. In the fall of 1922 he returned to New York and began work on Berlin's 1922-1923 edition of "The Music Box Revue". Adrian continued to work on the Berlin reviews as well as other theatrical and film projects. His big film break was designing costumes for 'Mae Murray' in her first M.G.M. film, The Merry Widow (1925). He was then hired by 'Natacha Rambova' to design for the independent films of her husband, 'Rudolph Valentino'. In mid-1925, after designing costumes for the prologue of "The Gold Rush" at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, Adrian was hired by 'Cecil B. DeMille' to become head of the wardrobe department at his new studio. When DeMille moved to M.G.M. in 1928, Adrian moved there also. When his DeMille contract expired, Adrian signed with M.G.M. and remained with that studio until 1942. He opened his own very successful couture business and continued to do some films until such time as his business expanded, with a salon in New York as well as Beverly Hills. His fashions were sold in department stores around the U.S. and he was the recipient of the 1944 Coty Award for Fashion. He also received a Lord & Taylor award for his work on Marie Antoinette (1938) in 1938 and a special award from Parsons, the successor to NYSFAA. His last film was Lovely to Look at (1952). He retired from the fashion industry in 1952 after a heart attack. He relocated to Brazil with his wife (since 1938) actress 'Janet Gaynor (I)' and their son, Robin. He returned to the U.S. to do "Grand Hotel", a musical with 'Viveca Lindfors' and 'Paul Muni (I)' and his last career credit was the costume design for the Broadway musical "Camelot". He was working on this production when he died of a heart attack on September 13, 1959. Adrian never received an Oscar.

Eric William Dane was born in 1972, in San Francisco, California. He is the older of two brothers. His father is an architect and interior designer based in San Francisco. His mother was a homemaker. Young Eric Dane was a good athlete in high school. There, he started amateur stage work by playing "Joe Keller" in 'Arthur Miller (I)''s "All My Sons", and realized that this was all he wanted to do. He moved to Los Angeles and made his television debut in 1993 on "The Wonder Years" (1988). In his early career, he also played bit parts on the TV series "Married with Children" (1987) (1995), "Silk Stalkings" (1991) (1996) and "Roseanne" (1988) (1996). Dane played medical doctors more that once, first appearing as a "Dr. Cooper" in "Gideon's Crossing" (2000). From 2003-2004, he has been a recurrent guest star as "Jason Dean" in the hit show "Charmed" (1998). In 2006, he appeared as handsome "Dr. Mark Sloan", the plastic surgeon on the show "Grey's Anatomy" (2005). Dane landed his first leading role on the big screen in the German made feature Open Water 2 (2006) (aka Adrift). On October 29, 2004, in Las Vegas, Eric Dane married actress 'Rebecca Gayheart', who was previously engaged to producer/director 'Brett Ratner', who is the director of none other than X-Men: The Last Stand (2006).
